Hi vis ideas please

If you're worried an exercise sheet would get dragged back then modify it a bit so you can attach a breast girth. I do think a sheet gives the best visibility, but if you feel it isn't an option then I'd go for boots, tail and something on bridle/headcollar and plenty of hi viz on you too.

I get lots of comments from people who see Gracie's ears from a long way off. I think it's a combination of the two colours. They're from V-Bandz and will velcro onto a headcollar head strapView attachment 106225.
Ah perfect, i couldn’t find any with the Velcro for looking!
I am not sure why the high viz if not on a road?
Because we do sometimes use roads to get to the forest, or to cross to different areas of the forest (it’s 58,000 acres so there’s quite a few roads through it) and if he were to get away from me he could end up on a road, and there are byways in the forest used by motorbikes and 4x4s, and for dog owners/cyclists etc, a horse got lost in the forest here for a week last year and hi vis would have helped us locate her sooner, it also helps aircraft spot you sooner (air ambulance, military etc) There’s lots of reasons to always be visible, not just when on roads.

Harry Hall and maybe others do a high viz head collar and lead rope.
I am not sure why the high viz if not on a road? At my new yard I wear a high viz for sentimental reasons as it was a present from a YO. But no one else on the yard wears high viz at all.
I never wore it on Ramsey - he was so visible, being white. But even though we do no road work, I've ended up having it on Hogan. The tracks are narrow and can be quite dark, or worse, the sun dapples through the trees. After a cyclist came straight at us, and a woman walking her dog didn't see us until Hogan nearly flattened her (she had earphones on - the curse that they are!) I decided it was time to get visible!

What a baby face Niko has!
He really does, even the vet commented on it 😋 he is slowly growing into it though, the Jibbah (domed forehead in Arabs) is definitely less pronounced now, though maybe that’s a winter coat illusion.

He’s got a surprisingly big head though, that bridle is Arab size (basically cob in traditional sizing), the same as Jess’s, and I had to let everything out to almost the last hole to get it on!

Just thought I'd update this for anyone else in a similar boat, at YHL this weekend I got a V-bandz Brite Bib for when I'm riding monkey, it is just a neck band that goes to your D's and has Velcro at the front so you can just leave it attached, but when trying it for size yesterday I realized it would actually work really well without any tack, just connect the 2 Velcro ends (meant to go to the D's) together :D

They also are quite happy to make any modified items you want, different attachments etc. They have even said they will make me a (donkey sanctuary stylee) neck strap for Hank so I don't keep loosing the bugger in the field 🤣

I dont ride on roads but I bought a hi-vis silk and riding T-shirt last summer as recommended by @carthorse.
I wear the high viz hat silk every time I ride.

I feel a right Charlie as the Police and wardens can see me miles off just as I can see their striped high-viz patrol cars. But I am probably the only rider with that hi viz silk and it is somehow a comfort to know that it identifies me. None of our yard horses have any high viz. That is out of my control but it may be a status thing.
Riding school staff all wear high viz and not wearing it shows riders from our yard are not RS riders.

I was specifically asking about Hi-viz for the horse, that can be used without tack. I just updated because I found something, in case anyone else is searching for similar in future.
