i always use the Barnsby grip pad, they arent maybe as *high* as the numed's, but because of the grip material they use on the underneath of the saddle, once you have the pad in place it will not move down onto the withers ever.

nu-med are good for the wool lined numnahs... I like the polypad hight withered ones - used to ride a real spikey withered horse who seemed to like it as well. AND when it's really cold you can put it on your knee whilst eating sandwiches at the yard - it's like a little duvet
