Homemade fly spray recipes...do they stain grey horses??

Just that most of them contain lots of strong black tea, as much as I want my horse to be 'fly free' I don't want her tea stained - grass stained is enough already!! Or am I being dopey

Yes if you use the recipies with cold tea in them, they will stain. There are plently of recipies with other ingredients though, without the tea.

ive never known it to stain
it stinks though id just buy one already made & add water

I just use citronella oil, white vinegar & water, you don't have to add tea.

i use this with olbus oil 'can't remember how to spell it' it works a treat

I did not know this but then again he is more mud stained than tea stained at the moment in places that I know my fly spray has never reached.
I will bear this in mind. This batch is my first with tea all my others just had citronella, vinegar, water and eucalyptus.

I use citronella, vinegar and someone suggested adding mint tea!!

Finally, I put three garlic cloves in the flower spray and leave them in. Stinks!!
