Horseflies are out

I have seen my first horsefly today. I'd just got back from a drive and was hosing down when it started buzzing round us.

Yuk! They'll be a while here yet, but we do get them, thankfully most get blown off us. Horrid things.

Haven't seen any near us yet, but I'm sure it won't be long. Not looking forward to it.

Nothing here. Had the midges here and there.
Just ordered some fly shampoo. Not sure how effective it will be, but if I plan to wash her off anyway she may as well be done in something smelly.
Bet it keeps her companions away from her.

Nothing here yet but I've been on standby for days.... they're late this year! I have some new zebra print clothing that I'm going to try..... to see whether it deters them better. I shall look a sight but I always do at this time of year!! Haha
