Horsey family tree

Can anyone please give me pointers about how to find out about Magic's family history??

All I have is a white irish horse board passport without any details of sire or dam.

Where should I start?

thats the same as my mare.

have you got the address / number of the breeder, you could give her a ring or write to her?

Funnily enough that's just what I have been doing

Flicked through the passport and noticed that there is an entry on the ownership page that looks as though it may be the breeder. Googled him but no info. Have just written him a letter asking for him to contact me with any info that he thinks might be of interest.

Hopefully somehting may come from that???
