How many falls this year?

Falls from Lottie;

1 Not long after I first had her jumped a big brush fence ground was s**t on landing and she stumbled a bit and I came out the side door. Bit of a banged head but got back on and jumped everything else

2 Beginning of summer on a hunt ride got pushed over by another horse going down to a jump ended up jumping 6ft hedge came off midair had concussion, didn't know who I was for 20 minutes and broken ribs.

3 Going round a farm ride and somehow came out the side door on landing, I'm partly blaming the saddle as I borrowed my friends, mine was at saddlers having extra d rings put on. Friends saddle is a 16.5" so my knees were over the front to begin with lol, was a silly fall and I was laughing as I went :p

I think that's all the falls I've had off Lots, so that's 3 in 18 months. I'm surprised I've never come off hunting really, you watch I probably will do now :p

Had loads over the years I don't keep a count, far too many to remember!

None for me this year and I'm hoping it stays that way!

3 last year, one where he spooked while I was remounting after a gate (and I haven't got off him on a hack since, so that's in this year's plan), One where he spun and half reared to nap to another horse while XC schooling, and the last where he didn't want to go on a fun ride and bucked me off before the start.

I fell once a year for 10 years learning to ride. Then it decreased. But my falls were mostly hacking. My main activity is hacking RS horses with unreliable escorts. I never fell off my share.
Was about to resume riding when I tripped on a bollard 2 weeks ago and fell on my arm while walking the dog.

Oh skib I hope you are ok. Look after yourself

Likewise - lost count. Trip - off, spook - off, bolt - off. And so on. Luckily not been concussed or broken anything - yet (pause while I find a piece of wood to knock on) aaah me and my big mouth

In 11 years of owning Scully -

1. Our first ride out she got excited crossing a road and was cantering on the spot then chucked me off in the next field into deep wheat so a soft landing.
2. In the school while asking her to canter and she shot off, I made it round the first corner but not the second - rolled in the sand.
3. Mounting outside the stable, YO started the tractor in the barn next door and she spooked - that was onto concrete, not hurt apart from a graze but I was glad I was wearing a hat as that was totalled!
4. Trotting during a saddle fitting - she spooked at a white board the YO had helpfully hidden in the grass by the school...
5. Trotting in Italy - she got excited trotting behind her best mate and threw a double buck, I sat the first one but the second had me landing on my backside and I ended up in hosp with a stretched pelvic cartilage.

Not on Scully -
1. Off a 18hh clydesdale at full gallop when he swerved left having spotted an open gate - I rolled off into long grass still holding the reins - I was a bit sore after that one!
