Hello,

I need helping deciding on where to keep my horse on livery i have the chance to keep her on a fab livery yard but not sure on the price.

Bearing in mind the yard is a high standard competition yard
This would be diy livery
So what would you pay for:
24/7 grazing for summer months,
out during the day in at night for winter.
use of outdoor floodlit school
24/hr supervision, CCTV cameras covering yard/entrance etc.
Expert advise form YO,
on site farrier
Monthly vet clinics on yard
Reduced entry fees to competitions held there
and a 30x60 indoor arena to hire, with full set of bsja jumps.
on site cross country course.
Decent hacking off road

So what would u pay for diy on a yard like this? and what do u currently pay and whats included/facilities like?

thank you HR

depends where about you are???

anything betwee £25- £40 pw....

also depends if hay etc is included which will bump up the price?

£30-£40 pw maybe  the facilities don't sound all that special tbh

But around here you can get a yard with the same as yours plus full set of polyjumps, indoor schools, horsewalker, hot water wash box, great hacking and BE standard XC course for £45pw DIY

I'm not on that sort of yard as it's not my sort of thing, I'm on a really informal yard on a working farm, small school, field with some basic XC and Show Jumps, great off road hacking and option of 24/7 turnout all year. I pay £16pw :D

Main thing is do you like it and will it suit your horse? I think that the price becomes irrelevant then really, as it is good value if you are happy. The stress of being on the wrong yard is far greater!

ummm, I'd probably expect to pay at least £30-40/week for DIY at a yard like that. Although my only experience of yards with that standard of facilities has been with full livery at £100/week

I pay £22/week for DIY with day turn out, night stabling all year round (grazing restricted to fewer hours in winter), good size outdoor school, showjumping field and fantastic off road hacking.

I would say between £25 and £40 for that depending where you are in the country.

At the moment I pay £25 for
All year round turnout
Floodlit, outdoor, all-weather sand school
Grass school
Excellent hacking
Free horse box parking (if I had one )
Good size box
10mins from city centre

But thats up in scotland :D

Around £20-35 p/w

I pay £40 for assisted DIY (bring in/turn out during the week - no poo picking!)

Its alot more than I used to pay but Im on the edge of bridleways, fields and 10mins hack to the woods! Floodlit school with jumps, and a jumping field with jumps in the summer.

Depends what you personally want/need. If you're competing, then up to £40 a week. If you want to happy hack, then lots less!

For 24/7 grazing, indoor school, lots of jumps and a brilliant groom (as required), I pay just over £25 a week.
