Sorry I have been so long, after three hours dolly arrived ok, then turned her straight out with Sam and Minnie, who are used to have young horses turned out with them, Sam sniffed and that was that...they looked like mare and foal in the field, grazing next to each other, all was well....
Left them for half and hour and then Minnie started on her, which made Sam then start to, in this weather you can imagine they were sweaty messes in minutes, they then ran her through the electric fence which she jumped, then she jumped back in to Sam. I had a horrible half hour of watching them chase her round, run her into solid fences etc.... I have to say it's my least favourite part of getting a new horse, especially a young one, my last two yearlings were very wary of the other horses and stayed well away but Sam was so in face she had to make friends...
Once they stopped running round, my two went to calm down in the shade, leaving dolly to stand on her own on the other side of the field.
Sam came over, and they started grazing again, I have been out every hour since and they are grazing, not all together but grazing. Sam has now taken dolly to the shade.
I only got photos on my phone for now given how bad it was and how I don't want to disturb them at the moment, if they see me they will ckme which will start Minnie off I think...
I did think if they start again, Minnie will have to go in the other paddock next door, but at the moment, they are ok.
I will get some photos on asap, I promise:wink:
