I was just wondering how many other people do this?

HI

I have just started the last few days of keeping a riding journal of my riding lessons. I started it so i could put done what i did and what was doing wrong so i had a record of how i inprove and that lol. so i thought i would ask everyone who else does this?

when i first started i did, i have a diary with all my firsts in, ie first lesson, first jump, first rossette first fall etc.
Kept it up for a few years , then just seemed to stop keeping a diary all together.
anything worth noting now goes in the stable diary

I keep a blog, not religiously for every lesson, but I do note down significant things. I started when I was trying to understand my mare's cycle of moodiness!

I kept lesson notes like at uni as my memory is so bad.

When I was ice skating my coach made us do a journal after each lesson. It's a good idea but not something that I ever used for riding though I don't know why.

I write a little diary about who I rode and how the lesson went (good and bad points) just because I can spot any patterns in behaviour/my riding that I can correct also I just like to read back through it

Yes somebody mentioned it on a thread that i should keep a log of how i get on with my horse. And ive stuck to writing in it when ever i ride him. Also good to see if we have recuring problems with balance, direction stuff like that.

I've recently started a video diary. I take one or two videos a month to note my progress. Works really well, and I'm too lazy write stuff down heehee
