I wonder where the term 'marish' comes from

And why is it ish? There's no ish about it!
She's not in a bad mood, she's not grumpy, she's not niggled.
She's positively fuming, breathing fire, and has been taken over by the devil himself!
 
Ish because it's not a permanent feature (only during seasons) and mare because only mares do it quite like that :D coltish is another, same goes I guess.
 
I googled it and it means give or take, rather, somewhat.

Yes she's been given the ability to take a rather somewhat dim view of me. :D

I just remember when I was about to buy Storm the lady who owned her said "she's not nasty or anything and you can muck out around her" and then later on, "she's not marish". Lol lol
If she ain't marish then I don't know what is!!! Talk about vocal and letting me know with just the flick of a tail or ear what is what. I speak mare now. Didn't used to though and often got it all wrong....................:rolleyes: :)
