very boring but ive spent most of the morning sorting out our insurance 
when we moved here in march we transferred the home insurance over but the renewal just came in and i realised it says we have 5 lever mortice locks on the front door and that all the windows have locks. Well its an ancient wee farmhouse so it doesnt ! We are looking to replace them all but cant afford to this year for sure. Anyway, i called up the insurance and they cancelled the policy there and then!! they basically wouldnt insure us without them !! (That was RBS) After some calling round Im pleased to say we’re now fully insured with Direct Line and we dont have to have those locks, phew! They are cheaper as well.
In addition we’ve taken a smallholder policy with Greenlands, not something Ive ever thought of before but for 3rd party for other livestock (not ponies) , outbuidings, tools,fencing, feed/hay etc it’s worth having. It also covers for transportation of stock.
