Darling Leo died 15th November 2019. Suddenly, colic, drug relief did not work, decided not to go surgical with him so pts at home and buried in the field next to the two cobs, his best pals.

Did a clean of the stables today, clearing drainage getting rid of all the stuff in corners, usual pre winter get the mats done and ready to go.

Did his stable, so sad, I keep seeing his cheeky little ears. Nothing left of him now in his stable, all cleaned out. Sat surrounded by muck skips and had a blub. He loved his stable, at our previous house he didn't have one and camped in the entrance to the barn and the gangway. He would have had his Kylie Minogue posters up and his hifi. He was best friends with Sasa and he and Suze were great pals, He was the glue that bonded the herd as everyone loved him. Miss him, loved to do our dancing in the field, he loved playing and working with me. Funny how final it is just cleaning out a stable, I haven't dealt with his rugs yet, can't quite do it. (((Hugs))), it's often doing jobs like that that bring it all crashing back, as though you're taking away every last trace of them. He'll always be in your heart though x

Aw yes it is the jobs sometimes like sorting through rugs and other stable stuff. I remember finding Joe's sport medicine boots and sitting sobbing - and that was a good while after he'd gone. As carthorse says, he'll always be in your heart.xx

Massive hugs. I still have a wobble about Ramsey as I pass his stable. The continuing sadness is the measure of just how much they mean to us.
