Lovely pics Nic :) Do you put anything on Captain's mane? It looks lovely and smooth. Pumpkin's is all frizzy and flyaway. (I remember once upon a time having same concerns for my own hair, but don't have time to these days!) :D

Lovely pics Novicenic:D Captain's gorgeous. Good to hear about other people with mane issues in the winter. I seem to spend all my time spraying Sennie's with detangler, or combing mud out of it.

Great photos , I can see why you wouldn't want to spend too long away from your Captain - he's gorgeous:p And I love the one in your album of "Bonnie the smoking horse" lol:D :D :D

Kirstie - Lilly is our newest member to the family. My friends 13 yr old daughter needs something to move onto. She turned up initially on trial for a month. We must of had her now for about 6 months. No sign of the owner and no contact details. So not sure whether she is staying or going. For an arab she is very placid. Willing to please but still quite a bit green so not really the been there done that horse we were expecting.

Ah yes Captain's forelock. It used to go down all the way to the end of his nose. But then it got to the stage where it parted and really looked bad when out galloping about so I gave it a wee trim. I would ideally like it just below his eyes but going up in a v shape. It would be better for jumping and schooling as I wonder if he has problems seeing where he is going. But I am worried to death I will make a complete botch job.:(
