I still dont understand this thread?

Why would it be an issue? I assume you're not wearing them to go clubbing, shopping in the city or to meet the Queen but to pop somewhere en route to/from the yard ... I don't see why that would be a 'thing?'

I hate wearing horsey clothes in public but I'd pop into a petrol station/supermarket etc if I needed to.

Basic hygiene would mean I'd always wear different shoes, wash hands and try to change my coat in the winter etc but I think that's the same for anyone regardless of gender?

Slightly odd, but if I can nip to Tesco in my riding gear I don't see why it should be any different for a man.

Same, it’s no different to women wearing riding clothes in public, but the OP didn’t really ask a specific question so we don’t really know if that’s what he was asking.

I doubt anyone would even notice since they're a dark colour, from a distance they just look like close fitting jeans or trousers. To be honest I don't notice what people wear that much, though I did do a double take an hour or so ago when a men walked past me in bright green trousers and a nearly neon pink shirt carrying a yellow jacket :eek::eek:

If you live in a rural area may be it is not noticed if you go out in your riding clothes. But it is different in London. If one has reason to go to central London in one's riding clothes, with a short whip and carrying a hat and bp either to ride in Hyde Park or help with RDA one is very visible on the train and Underground. Well worth it of course. I have done it three times. It is an experience both to ride a horse on the road in central London (only a short way) and then ride on Rotten Row.
