what is it with people/families who suddenly get 'into horses' and have to / must buy two young ponies (we're talking complete novices here) in quick succession (not even having done the winter thing with the first. we're a DIY field with no electric btw) like they're buying new toys? maybe that's just me but it scares me when people just randomly acquire animals without much thought (pony number two was bought in a 5 minute decision) at all ...

Sounds like my hubby. My yard mate had given my daughter one lesson and my hubby was already talking about buying her a horse! This is for a girl who either doesn't want to one up the yard with me, or often stays sat in the car whilst I do a flying visit. Madness.
