My first ever attempt at clipping result!!!!photos

Well, following on from the thread asking for clipping advice I took the plunge and hired some clippers.

I took all your advice and got Dylan and Otto nice and clean, didn't wear wool or fleece, and I even managed to cross tie them!

I attempted to do the top line in one sweep which I just about managed on one side but not on the other.

I ended up with an Irish clip for Dylan which was what I was aiming for. He was as good as gold and practically fell asleep! I am quite pleased with the clip too! I don't think it's bad for a first attempt! The first side is better than the 2nd but hey it'll do!

So....piccies.....

Here he is before....

Not quite sure what I'm doing here - think I was trying to level it out!

There you go!!

Not sure why that didn't work the first time round!

Hope you can all see them now. :)

Thank you!
Whatanejit it was a local saddlery called sevenoaks in Antrobus. It cost £23.50 for 24hours. :)

Thanks! I'm really pleased I did it - and Dylan was so good too.

Also a lot cheaper than paying someone else to do it! ;)

sorry iam laughing me head off--
for a 1st attempt - um marks of 10 -- 7
for the try -- haha

you can neaten it off--
go get some white chalk --

if in doubt on a black horse try next time to draw a white line
of chalk to the clip you want him to have as a guide line
or elecy plummers tape--
and the horse is brill as he stood with out hestitant so i give him 10 out 10

you just need to catch to your horses marks

haha- not bad

Hey goeslikestink!!! I'm really proud of that actually!! Yes it's not perfect - what can I say I ended up following the line of the belly on one side :p and..... if I had kept on trying to level it off he'd have ended up bald!

So a big sticking out of the tongue to you!!!

ps I did use chalk but if you slip and go a bit higher you can't follow that line can ya?! ;)

raspberrys to you to-- haha

practice makes perfect - use elecy plummers tape
its dont slip then - and you can use it on your boots for x/c country to stop
them comming apart or bandages comming apart as you can
mixed the coloures in with your own x/c clour choice
as the tape can be brought in tack shops and local shops
sweetie shops for about 70p wide choice of coloures

so two used for said tape plus added bonus can plug a hole in a hose pipe
