It was the best weather this weekend, bright and sunny (which of course also means cold this time of year but I can cope with that :p)

Jess had naked time to enjoy the sun and I'm pleased with how she's looking, I pulled a couple of pics from the last few months to compare
From our beach trip in August

A month ago I snapped this one...made me reaslise she'd dropped a little too much weight for the time of year

And Saturday, I'm happy she's put a bit of meat on and is muscling up :) though the belly is a little much :p

Then we had a lovely ride :D Out through my estate and into the forest

My neighbor gave me a rug, its a requisite one and seems to fit ok but she wasn't sure what weight it is and I can't tell, the label only says its a 600d Teflon, does anyone recognize this specific pattern and know what weight it is?

Then yesterday afternoon I went deer stalking, there was a buck and a doe in the field and I managed to get pretty close to them, maybe 75ft away to snap some pics :D

Jessey is looking fabulous! Her topline has improved so much...and the little "extra" belly will serve her well through winter..... I'm sure we all agree that at this time of year it is better to have a bit to lose, rather than playing catch-up!

Those deer were very brave! Funny how the occasional creature appears and seems far less fearless than others. I had a hungry sparrow accompany my mucking out last winter...it was literally under my feet! I had to be careful where I stepped. And when we were still down at he field we had a lady pheasant walk right up to within 6ft of us and peck about.

I'm so used to battling the bulge with her, this wanting a bit more on is a pretty new experience :p

That is my resident doe, I'm pretty sure, she lives in the big bramble patch in the middle of the field :p I think she's enjoying the access to the hay feeder there, I suspect we will have babies come spring :D The buck looked extremely well, fat enough, muscly and very shiny so hopefully good strong babies :D We also have the flock of almost black pheasant (I know NR told me the proper name but I can't remember now), there was mum and 9 babies in spring, now I only ever see 2 or 3 at a time, not sure if its the same ones or they all just come by at different times now but they are so brave they will steal feed out of the horses buckets...while the horses are eating

Jess is looking great, there is a real difference between the pics you took earlier and now. I am another one who is jealous of your forest hacking which I think I have said on numerous occasions before  Oh baby deer, how cute will that be...little Bambi's jumping about, that's another thing I am now jealous about :p:D
