My Icelandic mare, Freydis is home finally! Not the best pictures but at least something. She is really sweet.
Am glad I love small horses!
Will give her time to adjust and get used to things. So far she has been very calm and curious. Even passed the donkey braying test!

Wally, she came from a Breeder up in Canada. She is a Orri frá Þúfu grandaughter on one side and Hrafn fra Hotlsmula on the other side.
Is little over 4 years old and 13.2 hand now...should top out an 1" or so taller. So pretty good size.

Thanks everyone! I have very high hopes for her.:D

Ahhh, then she's related to Fákur handsome blokey thing then!

He's Fákur frá Storavatnskarði.

She has a nice look about her. Will she be 4 or 5 gaited?

Frances and I have just come back from a YEE HA! I have to say, to date that is the fastest pace race we have EVER had on the way home. Frances ahs to go back with the Land Rover and look for one of her boots!

She is 5 gaited as far as I know. Saw her as a youngling and showed all 5 gaits in the pastures.

Do you have a picture of Fákur? Would love to see him.

Riding flying pace,,,ah....:D I did that when I was a lot younger.
Don't think I would be up to it now.

chocchick, there are no stupid questions!!

You have...well on some Icelandic's.

Walk, Trot, Tolt, canter/gallop, and pace. But not all have 5 or even 4 gaits.
And even less have a true flying pace. The pace that you need to wear flight goggles to ride!:D

Pics of Fákur...hang on a minute........................
