New profile posts and media section

Just wonder how many of use look at these sections. I notice that there are a few new profile posts from new members but I've never seen them post on the main forum. I don't really look at this section. Just wonder if it's just me that doesn't look at it or whether we need it or should we make more use of it.
Same with the media section. I look at it a bit more but don't generally comment.

Never look at profile posts. Mine is turned off.
I look at the media that appears at the top though.

I never look at them, just at any notifications I have and what comes up if I click new posts.

Nope I never look at them either, I pretty much go straight to notifications then the 'new posts' tab and that's it.

I get more now.

Can you get notifications on the new profile posters.
I wonder if some people join and write on there but if they dont get response think the site is not active. There are names on there (albeit not many) that I dont see posting on this part of the forum. I wonder if we are missing something.

No idea as mine is off and people can't write on my profile either.
I don't really know why we have it to be fair.
It's not like Facebook where everyone sees it on your page.
