Here there's no advantage to hunting on horseback, as there's loads of places the horse can't go and you'd end up leaving the horse while you went in search of the bird.

Yes, that's happened before here too. Then the cat saw what the jingling was attached to and beat a hasty retreat. One dicky bird they are not prepared to tackle,
