Hi just wandering what price people are been charged for good clean barley straw. Thank you.

i buy those huge round bales or a mahoosive big square but I’m on orkney so we get it shipped up mainly. Used to pay £3.50 down south for a medium size bale.

Its a pretty small forum with folks from all over so you might be better off on a more local group for specific info. The only person I know that sells straw near me in Norfolk is 10 quid for a 5ft round.

I am having to pay £5 a small bale delivered as i can't use the big bales and they are almost impossible to get around here

Sound expensive. We charge £2.50/ bale plus delivery. How many at a time do you buy. How far is the deliver.

100 at a time delivered to scottish borders

There is a fair bit of spring barley grown up there so the straw should be not too scarce. Can’t be many farmers willing to small bale straw
