Our new rescue dog Maggie was supposed to be spayed but she hasn't been. She is as ripely in season as any little bitch I have ever seen.

Today she has just reached peak and she is hassling our neutered boy, Corky, mercilessly. She solicits him like the scarletest scarlet woman there ever was. After a while he mounts her and has a go but of course he can't cut the mustard and it seems to upset him.

Does anyone know if there is anything we can do to get her to leave him alone???? He never initiates anything, it's always the little Jezebel...

little unhelpful reply here, but we took on a dog some 14yrs ago as a companion for a youngster. She was from a Rescue place, put on weight lovely then had 8 puppies one morning!!!!

Is bitch spray a silly suggestion? I know it is designed to make your in season bitch less attractive to amorous males, but mine hated being sprayed and it does smell yukky. Might make her feel less attractive?
