i've just started working saturday mornings at a racing yard near me and the owner has said he will sort some horses out for me to ride, however i've never ridden a race horse before and i am looking for advice. for example how far do you stand up in the stirrups? how long should the stirrups be? does anyone know of any good web sites relating to this? Also they use breast girths at the racing yard and i've never had the need for one before so can anyone describe how to put one? Do you put on a racing saddle the same way as a GP saddle?
