We lost Arthur 4 years ago today, aged 25, after a short illness. He came to me from the Sanctuary as a three year old, having already been homed and returned several times (he was a naughty boy).
We had great fun together, especially cross country and showjumping, and he is the only horse that has ever run away with me in trot! We jumped the judges car in dressage and cross country, we were chased across the country park by Park Rangers (they never caught us), and we raided ice cream vans at shows across the country
He is still talked about at various riding clubs, and remembered by everyone who met him. He was a real character, and a hooligan to the end!!
