What aids does the rider need to give for these? I have been doing this in my lessons, but it doesn't seem to be clicking and I'm getting frustrated. I think I'm not aiding correctly, which is why Rusty won't do it. Anybody got a way of explaining it?

shoulder fore is the same as shoulder in but slightly less bend and angle. It's usually what a horse or rider will learn first. It's basically the same aids as for a circle and is easiest learnt coming out of a circle. What are you struggling with? For me when i learnt it it was hard to co-ordinate my body to turn while looking ahead at where i was travelling to and where my hands should be.

I was doing shoulder in a while back in a lesson. Instuctor had me ride a few 10m circles then just as coming onto circle keep bend but ask horse to go forwards. Get a few steps and circle again. As peds gets anxious when hr doesn't understand things it ment he stayed relaxed and we kept moving round the school.
