Everyone wants to eat straw at the moment, even Buddy (unheard of). Even Suze.....Tintin and Aimee. Fleur and the two boys.

So give them straw, they obviously all want a bit more fibre.

I guess what grass there is at the moment is probably very rich, maybe they're trying to balance that. I wish we could get decent feed straw round here.

That's odd because yesterday Storm attacked me when I went in with a slice of clean straw! She's never eaten her bed (no need to as if anything I give her a bit too much hay). She started pulling it out and nibbling it.

My goats used to eat straw. They went mad for barley straw. We used to put a small bale in the hay racks at night on top of there hay.

My sheep havent had any salt licks for a while. I stupidly forgot to order some last week when i ordered the food from the feed merchant. I have one left from last year so ive got it in a bucket and keep moving it around the lambing pens. They are going mad for it just now.
Animals will tell you when they are deficient.
