My dog was beaten up for being the wrong colour Labbidog, He ought to have been golden.....
My other collie dog was beaten up (by the same woman's dogs) for being a collie as Wire Haired German Pointers always beat collies up.

and Beanne Duvet, Soufflé, Princess Shanznay du Mezanine. got pinned to the floor and her fur torn out in mouthfuls for being a Patterdale. :hot: :hot: :timebomb:

Speechless, excuses , lame excuses for having gobshite dogs.

Oh my! Was this all at the same time - or separate occasions for her to impart her pearls of gobshite wisdom? Sounds like hers need to be on leads at all times if she cant control them. I would have been doing my fishwife impression probably........ before I hit her!

Walked on the premises with 3 dogs (bit like cerberus) straining on their leads choking.

My dog, whose place it is walked past and wallop, Dog attacked him.

15 minutes later my collie wandered within striking distance and he got savaged.

Then about an hour later Beanne walked past on her way to Frances and she got nailed good and proper.

SOunds just like one of those parents who have a complete little bastard for a child, and thinks the little angel can do no wrong.

Talk about an excuse for everything!

some years ago we were walking a pack of three jack russells and four springers. One of the jack's had gone a little bit too far in front on the canal towpath when a weineramer (sp?) decided to chase her. She legged it back to us and unfortunatley for the weineramer it was so intent upon chasing her that it piled into the rest of the pack, most unluckily hitting the pack leader. Well! it had the whole lot of them on it! It escaped and ran straight past the woman walking it and carried on going :giggle: with her running after it. Don't know if she every caught it! The funny thing was during this all you could hear her screaming "call back your dogs!" OUR dogs had done nothing wrong. If she could call her dog and have it take any notice the whole thing would not have happened! We had problems before with this pair, so quite frankly let the dogs get on with it!

I would have and HAVE gone berserk. My flatcoat was set upon by two lurchers and the owner simply shrugged and and said "All black dogs are aggressive and her dogs simply got in first" :stomp:

My flattie was doing a gundog training exercise and would ignore everything once he marked a dummy and was waiting for the release.

Fortunately my golden retriever came to his aid before I got there and he saw them off. He's not afraid to get stuck in and defend himself with gusto.

I would have done far worse

The Laird told our postie (who is very dog friendly, mine love her to bits, even nervy collie) that his collie attacked her because she was wearing a uniform!

Don;t know what uniform a friend;s little 6 year old child was wearing when it nail her too!

Laird is a Scots word that usually refers to a Lord or member of the land owning aristocracy. Yes people and their dogs can be a nightmare i get them taking the dogs out and not even taking a lead with them. My farmer friend has had sheep and lambs worried by the irresponsible types. You dont have to teach your dog ticks but it should come to call as an absolute minimum. I lost my dog last year and i havent had the heart to get another one he was such a good old collie, he is buried in a quiet spot next to my other old pals.

But do you instruct at a dog club?

Oh that throws a hole different light on it ! From my experience at dog clubs The instructors dog is the one wondering around completley socialised with others... does everything on command and is that dog you hope yours as a pupil of said person, will be oneday !!

But do you instruct at a dog club?

Not any more, but I have done in the past. Even so most people don't have their dogs trained to the same standard that a lot of professional dog trainers do (even then that's questionable for some people ! ) so for the average Jo Bloggs dog they aren't under control.

My dogs never go on a lead, unless we are at the vets. They don't have collars!
