The cost of taking a small animal to the vet doesn't add up

I do wonder if a lot of things we use on pets are in fact suited for human use as well. But it should be cheaper as it's a smaller quantity.

I was told that the steroids the cob had were for cats. That's all they had and it did mean the poor girl had to take seventy tablets at a time.
But bless her she licked the bowl
No idea on cost as she was and still is insured.

Iacs is on four Feldene tablets a day for his cancer. Cheap, it is not even through the local pharmacy rather than our vet.
