The Fuzzy one strikes again this morning

I would have gone along with that theory but a few times I had to keep her in overnight about a month ago and she went stir crazy and was so distressed I vowed not to do it again. She would be fine at half eight at night when I left her and Storm in the next stable inside, with Zi free ranging back and forth, but the bed told a different story in the morning. It was horrible all churned and when I came to give her breakfast the following day she would have flattened me to get out of there if I'd not moved fast. She's a strange girl at times - I was only saying to Mr T the other day that mares are quite the journey. I remember thinking I "knew" Storm after a couple of years. But really I didn't, I think it took me a good ten years to really know her inside and out..Roll on next week though when I can sort it all out!
Aw, Luka is like Zi - Zi would love to stay in overnight in the winter. He does have a choice of free ranging mostly but I have to encourage movement for his arthritis. On really bad nights he adores being tucked up in the byre with a net - you can see him visibly snuggling into the straw (and if he gets a rug even better!)
No rug? Luka would have a strong view on that

There have been days when he's got partway out and then planted because he thinks his rugging is insufficient, likewise if he's in the stable and he isn't verging on toasty there'll be tantrums and people would be forgiven for thinking he was a savage until a warmer rug is on. But heaven help me if he's not got someone else in the barn within sight - next to him won't do because he can't see them easily.

No bath yet as its torrential rain here and not bathing weather at all. However, she has had lots of special scratches today.
First time I've bathed her so didn't know if she liked or didn't like. She tolerated it well lol. Pulled a few faces at Zi mind. Used tea tree shampoo as suggested by @carthorse . Interesting because you apply directly to them, glad I read the instructions else I'd have just put a capful or two into the water!
Lol yes the fence situ. We seem (touch wood) to be making good progress as Mr Trews has knocked wood posts in and we've made it so that the poly poles are just a back up now. She's less itchy after her bath too which is good and I tried some of the Multi Mite powder on her the other evening, just to see if it helped and it did. She's such a character, I thought she would get cross with me when I was putting on but she enjoyed it and started leaning into me with a droopy lip
Each morning brings a new challenge, yesterday she was minus two boots (scattered in the field) but a neighbours husky dog had escaped and they were searching until the early hours for it, so I think that might have had something to do with the boots flying off! I often wonder what I will wake up to................ newrider.com
