That's what my farrier's apprentice said when they dropped by just before xmas.
He said the horses' feet were very clean, probably the snow.
I did add that it was a combination of snow and hoof pick though !
Yeap chunkys feet are really clean. Didnt have to wash his legs for the farrier today. Put some pig oil and sulphur on midweek to stop the snow sticking. So combination of snow and PO & S have made his legs really white. Farrier also said his feet hadn't grown much probably because it had been cold. We had to cancel last week as there was too much snow for the farrier to get up the yard. So he's gone an extra week, but his hooves were still quite short.
