Those of you that stable overnight...what time do you turnout in the morning??

Around 7.15 most mornings bit later at weekends - in between 5 and 6pm normally but yikes as I am going up to Lancs next weekend to collect a pony for a friend they are going out lunchtime on Saturday (well rugged up) and will stay out till I get back Sunday pm (just hope the dry weather continues or I will feel so guilty but nobody to look after them - I am sure they will survive.

During the week Jasper goes out about 7am. At weekends about 8am. Bringing in 5.30am all days.

Already looking forward to the summer! .......... :)

They have a feed and haynet in the morning and then go out about 11. Come in about 5. Not much time out really but they're all happy with willing to take themselves to their stables at bringing in time. If the fields get really wet then they take turns to go in the school in small groups for a couple of hours.

Mine goes out about 8, but some of the horses down my yard are still in at like 10!

At the moment they are coming in at 4, but that will drop down to 3:30 in deep winter and usually about 5:30 when its not pitch black in the evening!

Morse and others will go out about 7 - 7.30 on the mornings after my nights as I will do them on the way home before I hit the pit;) Other days they will hopefully be turned out at around 8 cos we decided we would put them out a bit later this year. They will have brekkie and some hay so think they will be quite happy.

Coming in will be anytime really between 4.30 - 6.00 depending on who is doing it and the weather.

Can't wait:rolleyes: they are still out 24/7 with the weather being so mild, long may it continue.

if mine come in (which is rare) they come in between 5pm and 8pm (yes i'm the sort to go out in dark with a torch and drag them in :o) and go out between 9am and 10am depending what i have to do with them (mud fever barrier takes time, might give an extra groom etc).

Erm.... :o

Curly USUALLY goes out at 8.30 before college at 9 but for the last two mornings ive overslept and had to go to college first and put her out after at 11 - i get flatly ignored wheras if i go first thing shes all over me .

She comes in at 5 but 'helpful' people will insist on bringing her in early cos shes fencewalking.... She fencewalks alot - shes a nutter.

At my old yard they used to go out at 10ish and come in at 2pm, now she goes out at 8am and comes in about 5.30pm.:D

Ours are turned out at about 7.30am weekdays and brought in at about 4/4.30ish now that its getting dark quicker. They don't usually go out till later on weekends as everyone has a bit of a lie in. :o They don't mind, they get to munch hay until their taken out.

We don't have any winter turnout as such, but we have a large area of hard standing that we have been able to divide into 'pens' with electric tape so they can at least go out and stretch their legs. Mine go out at 7am before work. My old pony stays out all day cos he stiffens up in the stable. Princess Tia is brought in about 11, then goes out again between 4 and 6. If it has been dry for a few days, I sneak them out into the field for half an hour when everyone has gone (they don't gallop around) but that's really naughty!

Out between 5:30 and 6:00 - she's usually first out, in around 4ish, that will get earlier to around 3pm as the weather gets worse and the days shorter.

im not a morning person! i spent my half term away in devon on a MOD Training base up at 6am for a week nearly killed me! (ok im overeagerating (sp?) but hey in a teenager!)

kai gets turned out bewteen 9-930 after the school run..has his breakkie at about 7.30 from yard mate..hes out 24/7 in summer

after the 'catching' fiasco yesterday ive altered tally's turnout times. She's now out longer - not coming in til 6-7pm, but turnout is the same 9-9.30am

I go out to the yard at around 8.30 am (lucky enough to keep them at home :D) and Gambit has his breakfast whilst I either ride Frayne or get on with the mucking out. They go out after that and come in at around 4 pm (Gambit will be at the top of the field neighing for his tea ). When they are in it is a very large barn (big enough for about 30 cattle) - and I 'loose house' them (about 3/4 of the barn has a deep straw bed - I pick out droppings every day and keep the front bit completely clean; the rest has clean straw added when needed and hubby will go in with tractor in the spring and clean the whole lot out) - so they have plenty of room to move around anyway (Frayne likes to practice her extended trot in there :D).
