I want to find out more about where the lovely little Exmoorpony I often ride originally came from as I know he was born wild on Exmoor.

He has a diamond shaped brand on his shoulder with a brand which looks like it says HRH on it but it could be H4H - it is hard to tell

Anyway, I just wondered it anyone could tell me where I could find out more, for example, which herd is branded with this mark etc...

thanks! :)

All exys are inspected and if a good example of the breed branded. The diamond means registered exmoor. The number on the shoulder will be the heard number, ie what herd he/she is from and the one on the bum means the number in the herd.

They do fade sometimes.
