Track riding?

Anyone who has done track riding, can you explain to me how race horses are any different from other young horses? I'll be starting track riding soon for my boss(he knows my riding capability so don't worry for my safety lol) but i just wanted to know if they'll just be like other young horses except with a want to GO.

Also, do you enjoy it? seems silly but if I'm going to ride 15km's a day at a speed, i want to enjoy it

Track riding as you know requires excellent balance and stability. Young TBs on the track only know to go fast on the bit. They are not ridden with long stirrups or a rider with gentle hands. This is the difference not the fact that they are young. No other young horse is trained just to gallop fast for a living.
Respect this and you will understand their thinking.
goodluck it is very hard work riding track work.
