Well, we seem to be over the worst of the drama which saw me having to have feet x-rays in Feb, because poor Monty was so sore. He was diagnosed with thin soles, and his heels were particularly low, especially on the hinds.

He's been in boots for anything other that turnout in a paddock which I religiously stone pick, or in the arena, or stable. The inflammation has all gone, and he's fully back in work, we've been riding for up to 2 1/2 hours per day with no negative effect.

I took photos today, and was surprised at what a change there had been since Jan. The angles on his heels look so much better to me. We've also got some sole exfoliation going on, I've been picking his feet, and chunks fall off:eek: Worried me to start with, but the sole underneath looks so much healthier now, and possibly has more concavity.

So - here's the piccies. Let me know what you think about the changes. They're not perfect by a long shot, but considering I nearly gave up and put shoes on 6 weeks ago - I'm really hapy that I didn't!

I'm really pleased with progress at the moment. Hopefully the exfoliation won't cause his soles to go painfully thin again, and we have some great feet under there:D
