Anyone any experience or any info on the vaccination for Strangles, I wasn't aware there was one available yet, but apparently there is.

We had our Mare & TB done about 4 or 5 years back when there was an outbreak in the area and we were travelling to shows, the rest of the yard had theirs done as well as in same boat, if no one had been travelling outside of the immediate area and no contact with others then we wouldn't have - much depends on the situation you are in. We had no issues/reactions after the injections . only did it for the one year, that long ago can't remember the intervals but think it was initial and then a booster a few months later - not cheap but worth it as a one off as it was really bad around us at that time.
Thanks, my friend thinks why not vaccinate if it's available, I'm really not sure, glad to hear you report no issues or reactions though
