Check me and Moet out!! this time last year i was scared to canter!:mstickle:

Today we had a proper flat out gallop, granted it was more of a race against the super fast pony but nothing bad happened and we did stop at the end of the field!! the field is about 500m long too! it was awesome!

ok i have to admit during the gallop i was panicking about having very little brakes! but when we got to the end and she stopped i was relieved and think that next time i will trust her more and enjoy it more!!

ooo and another successful pass of the golf course...golfers tee'ing off this time too and the bird scarers going off in the adjacent field again - ok she was on her toes, but nothing else

Wow look at you.... :spin: Your confidence is coming on leaps and bounds, am also glad the horse swallowing hole of the golf course is getting better:smile:

You should be very proud of yourself:smug:

Superb. I too used to have little confidence with Joy and wouldn't even canter her. Now I think nothing about having a canter or gallop. The gallops have to be in the right place but the canters can be anywhere, at any speed and for any distance. It's lovely to have that trust and confidence back

Yay. Well done you! There's not much to beat the feeling of overcoming your nerves, and enjoying a canter/gallop, is there? I can remember that feeling of excitement/exhilaration, merged with a little (or a lot of) fear. I bet you were grinning from ear to ear. Glad that you had brakes (that's always my worry)! I hope you enjoy lots more gallops in the future.

Well done that's brilliant! I worry about the brakes too but it's always handy when you are with someone who can definitely stop theirs - chances are yours will stop too! Great to hear of such positive experiences
