I was wondering if, like dogs (border collie = clever, afghan = dim) which breeds of horse you think are most intelligent and (dare I say it!) which are the most stupid?
Shetlands are by far the most intelligent!
Throughbreds seem to be very thick, really affectionate and try hard but just take a while to learn that things such as umbrellas aren't going to eat them.

Although my old loan horse (TB) used to be very dim in some ways (I once put a binbag on his head in the school, rubbed it all over his body, crackled it at him, and he just stood there. We then went out for a ride and he freaked out at a binbag on the floor
