which clicker training book would you recommend that I get?

i'm especially interested in using this technique to help with a head shy horse.

thanks

I started off with the one Julz_S recommends. It's excellent and easy to follow.

More recent ones that are also good are:

Getting to Yes, by Sharon Foley :

and Ben Hart's book.

Alex's definintely has useful ideas for head shy horses - her body part targetting works great - so you get the horse to put their ear, eye etc into your hand, which for them is much less scary to start with than you putting your hand on their ear :)

Agree with Alexandra Kurland's & Ben Hart's but haven't read the other one recommended. Don't Shoot the Dog by Karen Pryor is excellent (although it's not horsey related) and an easy read.

To be honest, though, I found getting someone who is experienced in clicker to show you the basics was the best as it's easier to see how it works and how it all comes together.

I've got Getting to Yes by Sharon Foley, but much prefer Alexandra Kurland's books.

My copy of The Click That Teaches was stolen, but I do like Riding With The Clicker.

Ben Hart's Getting To Yes is on my wish list.
