Happy to say my luck has turned regarding finding a home for Mouse. His old rider and her mum are really fond of him, and when I first said I was going to be going away, they wanted to be able to look after him for me as they have their 2 at home, but they didn't have enough grazing to take on a 3rd long-term. However I believe the universe is on my side, because they have just been able to get their hands on a neighbouring field that they've been after for ages, and will now have more than enough space for a number 3. So he's going to go and live with them 
He's staying at my old boss's for now, while they build him a walk-in walk-out stable next to their other two stables and get the new grazing fenced etc. He should move in by the end of the month.
I can't tell you how much of a relief this is, I've been really stressed and worried about getting him sorted, and this is a massive weight off my mind. He's going to good friends who I trust, no nasty surprises, and I know he's going to be well looked after this time!
Annie meanwhile is doing really well in her holiday home and I'm getting regular updates and photos from her loaner. Here's a few of her holiday snaps! (I have the loaner's permission to share).
