Thorowgood Cub Saddle £40 bought new and lightly used

Hi what size is this?

I know nothing about cub saddles. Can you use them on anything?

Was looking at it for milo. To use as breaking etc.

Dunno if they suitable

How big is Milo? You can use it on near enough anything and it was what i used for Piccolo to back her. I can't remember what seat size it is would have to have a look but i think about 12" maybe 14" so for small children really/toddler saddle/ They have panels underneath that you adjust for different width plus are basically treeless.

Just had a flick through your pics of milo on fb - unless the person backing him is less than a size 6 I would look for something else - I had the 14" one for June and the girl who rides her (less than a size 6, she's absolutely tiny!) just fit her arse in it. They are really more for kids on shettys and such. Would look at something like a throwagood maxam. Can be picked up on eBay/preloved (I've just bought one off laceyfreckle on here, I think she has another for sale also!)

It was more for children. He will only be doing leis rein next year mainly. So was debating a cub saddle for the kids and wondered if a small adult could squeeze into them. Just struggling to find cheap saddle for him as no one will be riding him this year but want to prepare him. And he will prolly change shape yet. It's tricky.

If it's just for kids to ride in it should be okay, a little adult can fit into the 14" at a squeeze. But I wouldn't put any great weight in them as tbh there just not up to it!! You can pick the 14" on eBay for about £35, but prices differ from place to place I paid £40 for a 12" one!

But it will be fine for kids to potter about in!

I would spend twenty quid more and get a maxam :) think Lf has a 16" for sale!! The panels on the cub are quite hard and they don't mould to the horse - mine doesn't fit my Shetland despite the claims to fit all.

Ok thanks. Never really had to worry about kids. Lol. Its tricky with virtually no equipment anymore.

hi, yep i have a 16" maxam which if it is the right width might be a better idea? My children happily ride in a 16" saddle and as a adult i can ride in one too.

Otherwise the cub is a 14", just measured it.

The madam would be prefferable. I am just unsure on his fit. What is the lowest you would take with postage? Or is there something you need?

How much and can you pm me pics please ?

Hi, it is a 16" wide but agree it's hard to say what will fit sometimes unelss horse and saddle are in the same place! Anyway yes i can hold it until wednesday if you like

I now have a pair of size 0 easy boot gloves.

One boot is the new updated boot and one is not, both bought at the same time from the saddlery shop.

The main difference is the gaiter and reinforced toe.

Complete in their boxes etc. Not had much use.
Cost me about £100 for the pair at the time last year.
