Are there any arab fanatics on here? I'd love to talk to some of you! Also if any of you show your arabs I'd love some advice :)

Another arab lover here, not got one currently but I don't think I will be able to not buy an arab next time :D I keep drooling over a local stallion, I really want a baby from him, not sure I can do without my girly to ride for a whole year though

I have a PSA French Arab ex-racer, but he is practically retired now. He is adorable though!

How could I have forgotten about Mattie??! Sorry Mattie, I'm stupid.

A Quarabian? That would be lovely. Is your local stallion a well known one that I could google and drool over too?

Hi Megan, I have an Arab too. We haven't done any showing yet but I hope to take him out locally in-hand next year just for the experience. We enjoy hacking and lessons and he is capable of more but often my lack of confidence holds me back. I have plans to get out and about a bit more next year and have joined the local riding club in the hope that this will inspire me. He's a great little horse with a nice, gentle nature and everyone who handles him loves him. I always wanted an Arab after riding one as a child (and through reading the Jinny books of course!) but didn't manage to achieve it until I was 37 :)

Aww he sounds lovely! I can't wait till my girl is broken and I can ride her! :D

Used to own a 7/8 Arab and he was one of the best horses/ponies I've ever owned, he would try his heart out for you, everyone had him down as nuts but I can honestly say he had a heart of gold and was a lovely boy. He was however flighty and very forward but never ever nasty. :) xx

My old arab (who sadly passed away a couple of years ago) was so much fun! She had such a strong personality and my youngster does too bless her!

I have an Arab and I love him to death. I have a problem though, he is 23 years old and is underweight. I fear he will only get worse as winter sets in... I need some advice in helping an old horse gain weight back on. (hopefully quickly!) currently I am feeding him several pitches of alfalfa and 5 cups of molasses covered oats per day. If Anyone has any advice for me, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! share with me.

@FarmGirlEm hope you get some advice, I fear I have the opposite problem with my two horses, even tho one is 27 she still holds weight a bit too much! Maybe post some pics in the horse care and health section? Just thinking you might get more replies there.
