Avon Skin So Soft Dry Oil Body Spray ~ Fabby fly repellant!!!
Washing up liquid to get them white socks clean! Have used it for years and never had any problems nor heard of any friends having problems :)
Pack feet with lard when riding in snow stops it from balling up in their hooves :)

naa pasting it on their necks?!think the whole idea might cost quite a bit and also youd have 1 very sticky horse!! :D
i think all the midges would get stuck to your horse aswell due to the amount of stickiness if you come across 1 that cant actually smell due to a very bad cold!! :p

1. use vegetable oil on the hoofs for a cheap hoof oil

2. use vegetable oil on the coronet band to keep mud off.

3. Wipe your tack with baby wipes before you clean it to get grease off.

4. Wash your rugs yourselves to save money

great 1 here - borrow someone elses stable if your horse isnt in for long to save on the mucking out!!!! :p  :D

Relating back to the fly repelling thing...

I just read in my magic book..

Avoid wearing too much yellow.
Flies love the colour and can mistake you for a large flower.

Conclusion..
don't buy a yellow summer sheet! :D
or a yellow horse for that matter

i just got this from the Creepy Crawlies section by the way, not the Equine!
