Sweet itch rugs

Just wondering with sweet itch rugs do they help keep the horse clean or does the mud and dirt just go through them.

they help a bit , but mud will go through,

I find Dolly stays immaculately clean under her Horseware Sweet itch hoody, even if she has a good roll in the mud, which she often does.

I put a sweet itch rug on my coloured after spending all day cleaning him and drying him for the show next day in hope to keep him clean however i still found myself scrubbing at bright green grass stains at 5 am the next morning :-/ LOL xx

I use them on ponies with sweet itch or light coloured equines without, they do help keep them clean. x

It depends on the rug. The water resistant ones are pretty mud resistant also.

Rambo sweet itch hoodies keep them clean - like a canvas type material. I do find she goes a bit "dusty" because her skin doesn't shed put so can get a bit scurvy if not checked/brushed regularly
