I'm loving this thread, it is thrilling to look at your horse's pedigree and marvel that they were related to so many great horses.
If you choose any the 5th gen ancestors of Bella (Barney's Dancer) and then one of their 5th gen ancestors and so on, she has mostly Godolphin Arab, but also Byerley Turk and the Darley Arab. She also has quite a few other lesser known Turk and Barb horses.
Her more recent ancestors are pretty similar to a lot of race horses and includes Northern Dancer. He was one busy boy!
That far back they have fab names, Sister to Old Country Wench,
Cream Cheeks, Humphrey Clinker, Clumsey. Way way back it's mostly family number 6.
My boy also has Godolphin Arabian and Darley Arabian in his lines. And a horse called Clumsey.
