Foot stamping - the cause and cure?

I don't know how you apply your pig oil but I find it much easier since I took to putting it in an old hair conditioner bottle. I used to stand their foot in a bucket use a sponge whist trying to part the feather. Absolute nightmare!

Hope the Frontline sorts the mites out for you.

Yes it's tricky isn't it - the bloody stuff is so slippery!

It usually ended up in one of us parting the feather, often using a hair brush (usually the one I use on Roxy's mane) while the other applies it to the skin using an old washing up liquid bottle. Means we can really get a good squirt on, as deep as we can go so it can then work its way out to the end of the feather.

:banghead:

I keep meaning to find a better method of doing it, but keep forgetting so just apply it with a sponge out of the tin.

I like your idea, so I shall be on the hunt for an empty washing up bottle or shampoo bottle to make the job easier.

On a seperate note, my cob has started stamping again, but only his hind feet, so I'm going to treat it with some frontline as well as they usually does the trick, I'm lazy though and use the spot on pipettes, one for each leg :smoke:

(Vets advice by the way, I didn't just decide to do it one day!)
