Coffee & Cake Shop Chat

they stayed open for key workers up here thankfully.
But how long did it take them to include key workers. Don't forget the whole country was just thanking the NHS. Without those key workers we wouldn't have an NHS. And strangely enough, they are possibly the lowest paid!!

I think they kept open a limited range of the public facilities up here - just for delivery drivers etc etc in the main town. I don't think they were ever totally closed according to the local paper.

Thank you but no, I really couldn’t. I wouldn’t want the pressure of having to get it right, I love drawing for me and I love to give away little bits to friends but I couldn’t do it as a job.
I get this. My photos are for my pleasure and I do design cards, but once I get a commission the pressure isn't worth it.
You need the connection with the subject.

You wouldn't believe I had to follow this thing up the lane. DSC_2611.JPG At least a bee spends more time gathering than these.
Then it met a friend and they had to fly around together, never mind socialising, I haven't got all day - I haven't had lunch yet.

Oh and then I painted my toe nails ?
Sorry if it rains, the shock of me doing this could cause the ☀ to hide.
I went for the gold colour. I was trying to get a photo, but my toes look deformed!

@Kite_Rider your pictures are stunning, you could make a career doing commissions :)
Oh my days! I’ve given that drawing to my friend who’s horse it is, she’s shared it on Facebook and now I’ve got people asking me if I’ll take commissions! I’m really, really not that good and have just enrolled myself on a distance learning course with the London school of Art,

Dont put yourself down. Your drawings are fab. Your very creative, that one you did of the skull and fish, for someone to be able to create that from imagination that is an amazing skill and talent you have. You also draw so quickly. I think youve done one nearly everyday this week. You should be proud of yourself lovely.

Thank you both, I’m very flattered. I’ve never been very good at blowing my own trumpet and being a bit of a perfectionist I see the flaws in my artwork.
Im hoping the diploma course will help be be a little less critical and a little more ‘free’ with my expression, if that makes sense? If nothing else it should teach me the correct technique instead of just winging it.

The fishes like digestive biscuits, is there anything these guys won't eat.
I would like to get involved with volunteering, but I may need to wave a flag ? to find anyone's contact details. Not being on Facebook, I can't simply message.

Just settling my black puddings and scrambled eggs and coffee. I could just go back to sleep now lol
Bright and sunny here but still breezy. Madam had a good hour out with mr t whilst I mucked out. He was busy watching a helicopter go over and she went down for a roll - hahahaaa, did her dance of the dying horse / fly act. lol. I love it when they roll and do it a few times revolving. ?

Walk before breakfast, before it got too hot.

Question of the day -
Is it easier to jog uphill than walk, as its easier for the horse to trot?
I was full of beans this morning so had to have a little jog to resettle the pace. Don't get excited it was probably twenty strides but I woke up as if had my oats.

I actually find it easier to walk uphill rather than run! But it’s been so long since I put on my running shoes I think my legs have forgotten what to do.
I wish I’d woken up lively, I’m on antihistamine just now and boy do they make my brain foggy and my body tired, be glad when I can stop taking them.

Is that for your hay fever? Have you tried Beconase, mr t swears by it.
