Kim Poodle

She looks so darned happy!
she is, she is a big furry goofball compared to the shut down sad dog we saw on Saturday. She wants to come into our bedroom, she sleeps outside the door, came in this morning jumped on bed, kisses and kisses, she is just affectionate and silly. Lights are on. Harrison has surgery today on his hips and spine, same thing as Kim, so she will have to be careful with him

Hope his surgery goes well and he has a speedy recovery. They are very lucky dogs - all 3 of them, to have such dedicated care.

Sadly only two now. Madam Millie is refusing to eat. Understand she was fed a lot of people food....she ate the sausage in her biscuits but spat out the biscuits. So she will not be fed anything other than her food till she gives up.....

I know you've only Harrison and Millie - I included Kim deliberately - she was lucky to have someone who tried so very hard for her.

We had my darling Molly's ashes for months, we carried them around with us on walks and sprinkled a pinch of her in all her favourite places
we may do that with some of them, i have a tree and shrub to plant so just picking one of her favourite spots and see if i can dig a hole as it is like concrete here.

Millie is settling in well, Harrison had surgery yesterday so he is taking it easy, so she is walking solo at the moment

Found a couple of places to bury Kim and tried to dig but still so sore after falling off Suze so abandoned it.....

My mums always fancied a standard poodle. When she told me i said im not having no ponsed up poodle. Her response was no you just have an all over. Well if you saw some of my hair cuts ive give floss, they have been a bit out of proportion. So id have to factor in teips to the poodle parlour, or go on a dog clipping course.
They are highly intelligent. Although they are water dogs some have been trained to work sheep. Ive already said we are not getting another dog until i loose the two we have currently. I dont think that will be very far away sadly.
I would like another working collie or two but i might consider getting a poodle just for mums benefit. Although it will be me that walks and feeds it as shes not really able too now. Im not sure having two dogs in our tiny house is going to be practical though with mum getting tottery on her feet. We shall just have to see when the time comes.

She is indeed a lucky girl. She looks like she's ready to live her best life.

She’s lucky to have found you, and you her, I think. It’s seems she’s fitting in beautifully 🙂
she is adorable, tolerates the cats, loves Harrison, loves her walks. she is very weak on her back legs, due to lack of exercise. No muscle at all.....i am just hoping that exercise will do the trick, she did 1 hour 20 minutes yesterday on forest tracks up and down hills for an hour then 20 minutes with Harrison as he is still on reduced exercise as he had more stemcells done. She is very clingy, think she was left a lot when they were at work. And she was never walked apart from in town on one route, never off lead, so not suitable for an active energetic dog like that. I think she was mainly a house dog, the groomer commented on how matted she was and her poor muscles. So hopefully we can improve her and give her a more interesting life, already she has walked 10 new routes for her and done miles in the car visiting places. Kim is still in the car, so she comes with us, we haven't figured out where to bury her yet.

Yes i think her quality of life has gone up substantially just by being walked energetically and in new locations. Her lights are firmly on and now she has all the matted hair off, she walked for the first time without panting so she was much more lively
