I watched the documentary/movie '20,000 miles on a horse' yesterday (on amazon if anyone is interested) and it's got my adventure bug going again  I SO want to go and ride somewhere new and exciting, I think that's why my mojo has waned, I'm just bored of riding the same places. Even Jess seems to be bored, she's taken to going out with the hand brake on and acting a right twit being a brat, but over the Xmas holidays we were able to go a bit further a field and she was keen and fun as soon as we turned a way we haven't been much (there's not much of that). It seems so pointless to ride her for the sake of it if neither of us are particularly enjoying it :(

So, given how strong she was last year, I am going to reconsider my decision that she will never do the Wales ride. I'll have to look at breaking it into shorter days and probably more of them, but if it takes us 6 weeks that's fine with me! :D and I might have to ...acquire... a pack pony (the little boys legs won't make it that far) as I don't think she will manage me and gear, I don't know, but it can't be impossible :) Perhaps there needs to be more than just me and her to take the pressure off her.

I just need adventure in my life :D It was a good documentary, it showed the highs and lows of long distance riding, it took them 5.5 years!

The Jack Mytton way is a good one. Part of it s over the land where we live so you could always pop by for a cuppa. Might even be able to ask employers if we could find a space for Jess and you could use us as an overnight stop.
