Tbh, when Haakon had his abscesses (yes, two in one front and one in the other), some just snuck out and burst while I wasn't watching but it was evident what had happened once they showed themselves. There might've been a back one too.
I was shocked and worst of all, I had kept Haakon inside all the time on strict bedrest and soaked hay because the vet said he had laminitis. He was so convinced it was lammi, that when I told him about the abscesses, he arrived at my door again to came and see for himself (non-charging visit, I know!)
The abscesses came out on their own, back and fronts. I did pile in myristica sebifera in sandwiches (homeopathic lance for abscesses) and that might've helped but hard to tell, and obvs the buckets/soaking, poultices,analgesia etc. Looking back on the blog - if you're interested -
