Any Amphibian owners?

Not the most common of pets, but wondered how many other horse owners have them?

I have newts, I have 5 at the moment, all different species.

Haven't any newts but I used to have a african toad when I was 17. My mum and dad said i could have any pet that wasn't a mouse/rat or ate mice/rats (my mum's scared of anything like that) wasn't furry, didn't need walking or brushing.

I was whinging at the time that i had only ever be allowed a budgie or goldfish as pets................so i went and bought Freda the toad. She was a great pet (mum didn't think the live crickets were quite so fun though)

I do have a facination with amphibians but have never kept one as a pet.

I do make a point of having a really untidy garden full of hiding places and juicey slugs to attract in our native frogs and toads

If I were to plump for an amphibian I suspect I'd end up with either an axcelotl (sp?) or salamander of some kind

They are a lot more interesting underneath than they are on top,lol.

They are a lot more interesting than people think, my paddletail is always out and I tend to watch her more than the TV.
